We believe that the built environment is a vital educational tool and place of learning. We have produced a series of projects exploring a range of experiences and understandings of architecture and the built environment. Taking the form of collaborative education projects in primary and secondary schools, and a book on Holloway Road, these projects examine the characteristics of highly specific and distinctive contexts.

In the education projects at schools in Hornchurch and Holloway, we collaborated with an artist/teacher and the class teacher, to find innovative ways of enabling the children to investigate the built environment and express their ideas and opinions. The children produced final collaborative artworks, while throughout the projects a wide range of media and methods of working were used
