Waterloo Arches

Date:

Project Stage:
Complete

This was a built exhibition space designed and constructed by Gary Butler to house the end of year exhibition of the Kingston University School of Architecture. The space was a derelict railway arch 243 under Waterloo Station, the London terminus of trains to and from Kingston. The arch had formerly been used as a car repair shop; it had no permanent lighting and the project involved building a temporary bar and staircase as well as constructing all exhibition wall surfaces and lighting.
